The minds behind Tex-Lock are bike fans with body & soul, and product developers with passion & devotion. Equipped with textile know-how and dissatisfied with existing bicycle lock solutions, founders Alexandra Baum and Suse Brand developed the idea for Tex—Lock. Since the two women from Leipzig, Germany travel a lot by bicycle, they experienced the frustration of having to ride around with a clattering, unwieldy metal bicycle lock. The bright idea was to make a bicycle lock out of textile. Tex-Lock is based and manufactured in Leipzig, Germany with the highest of German standards and expertise.

United StatesI received this product on August 19, 2024, and it is still working well. I have been using it to secure an electric mountain bike. No serious attempts have been made (that I know of). I am contributing that to the fact that the Tex-Lock immediately looks like and performs the way it is advertised.

Tex-Lock eyelet with U-Lock is perfect for protecting my bike while I'm at the gym. Its flexibility makes it easy to wrap around frame & bike racks. Textile covering keeps it from scratching the frame.

Love this Tex-Lock. I had a krytonite ULock, but this lock allows you to lock your bike with ease and flexibility. Not sure why other companies don’t go with this rope style lock, but it makes the most sense and it provide unlimited ways to lock your bike to virtually anything! Went with the medium size and I’m glad I didn’t go with anything bigger. I live in Brooklyn, NY and I have no issues. One thing I really enjoy is that it allows me to lock my bike and use my kickstand so it’s not leaning on a pole or bike post to avoid it from getting scratched or bumping into other bikes. Best lock in the game. Plan on getting another one for my motorcycle as it’s so much lighter than my Kryptonite clunky chain.

Osloh products and in this case a Tex-Lock with U-Lock is a sturdy product. I have not actually tested the product yet but I plan on doing so soon with a eMTB I have recently purchased. Despite the weight of the product, it is still obviously meant as a proper deterrence in its context and that gives it four stars. The only reason I have not given five is because, again, I have not tested the product.
